Between the Water and Sky - Emotional Story

It was the summer season, and the weather was very pleasant. The sea was calm and quiet. Birds were flying in the sky and swimming over the sea. People were talking to each other while lying on the beach, while some stood and gazed at the sea.
There was also a café by the sea, where people liked to sit on chairs and eat ice cream. Mountains stood at the edge of the sea, covered with different kinds of grass and trees. At the top of the mountain, there was a huge restaurant where various programs and games were taking place.
Cedar went for a walk on the beach with his friends. Happiness was everywhere. It seemed as if everyone was happy, as though it were a paradise where no one had any sorrow.
Suddenly, a strong wind began to blow. The calm waves turned into high, powerful waves. The sea looked as if its waves were rising from the heavens.
Cedar and his friends started climbing the mountain. People began running from all directions. The waves reached the edges of the land. Everything was being blown away by the strong wind. People were crying loudly and calling for help, but there was no one to help. Everyone was struggling to save themselves.
The storm struck the mountain with a terrifying sound that made everyone wish to escape from it. Boats crashed against the rocks and were destroyed. On the beaches, in cafés, shops, and houses—everything was swept into the sea.
After climbing the mountain, Cedar remembered his friends, but they had already left him behind.
In the Restaurant
There was music playing in the restaurant. One man was singing, and several girls were dancing. Some people were sitting on chairs, drinking from bottles.
Among them was a beautiful girl who was looking at Cedar. When he looked into her eyes, it felt as if she was saying something to him: “Come to me.”
Cedar started walking toward her. He had seen many beautiful girls in his life, but he had never seen anyone like her. Her slim figure, her beautiful eyes, her charming face, her red lips, and her long hair made her look extraordinary.
Cedar lost himself and fell in love with her, forgetting about the storm completely.
On one side, people were suffering because of the storm. On the other side, Cedar forgot everything because of his love for the beautiful girl.
The storm water began hitting the walls of the restaurant and started entering inside. Yet, as Cedar looked into her eyes, he forgot about everything around him.
The storm destroyed thousands of homes. Many houses collapsed into the water, and thousands of people drowned. Earlier, the sea had been on one side, but now water surrounded everything.
Cedar placed his hands on hers, and his lips trembled slightly. It seemed as though he wanted to say something to her.
“I’ve been looking for you all my life,” he said.
He held her hands in his palms, leaned closer, and kissed her. He fell deeply in love with her beauty and forgot everything else.
After some time, when Cedar opened his eyes, he saw that there was water all around him—but there were no people.
He stood alone, between the water and the sky.
