Education in Baluchistan

In Balochistan, Pakistan, the education system generally follows a grading scheme similar to the national system defined by Pakistan’s Ministry of Education. Here’s a breakdown of the grading system commonly used for schools and colleges in Balochistan:

Grade Scale Based on Percentage in Balochistan Education

This is the traditional grading system used for primary, secondary, and higher secondary education levels in Balochistan. Grades are based on the percentage of marks scored in exams, assignments, and other assessments. Here's how the percentage-to-grade conversion typically works:

Note: The cutoffs can vary slightly depending on the institution or specific board guidelines in Balochistan.

Grade Point Average (GPA) System in Education

In higher education, such as colleges and universities, Balochistan often follows the Grade Point Average (GPA) system aligned with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) guidelines. The GPA is based on a 4.0 scale:
A (4.0 GPA) - Excellent (Marks: 85-100%)
B (3.0-3.9 GPA) - Good (Marks: 70-84%)
C (2.0-2.9 GPA) - Satisfactory (Marks: 50-69%)
D (1.0-1.9 GPA) - Pass (Marks: 40-49%)
F (0.0 GPA) - Fail (Marks: Below 40%)

Annual and Semester-Based System

Schools: Primary and secondary schools typically use an annual system, with exams conducted at the end of the academic year by the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE).
Colleges and Universities: Colleges and universities in Balochistan often use a semester-based grading system, especially for degree programs. Each course receives a grade that contributes to the overall GPA.

Cumulative Grading and Division-Based System in Education

Some institutions, particularly at the intermediate (11th and 12th grade) level, also classify grades into divisions based on the overall percentage:
First Division: 60% and above
Second Division: 45% to 59%
Third Division: 33% to 44%
Fail: Below 33%

While the percentage-based grading system remains the standard in primary and secondary education, higher education institutions often apply a GPA-based grading. The system, guided by the Balochistan Board and HEC policies, aligns closely with national standards in Pakistan to maintain consistency across the country.

First of all, we need to know what is meant by education and how we understand Education. Besides, we know that the point of education is to know about something. When we talk about education, it means that a person should know about himself, a person should know about the world, people should know about things present in this world.
How do we know about ourselves?
Who am I?
What is my job?
What is my future?
How to improve yourself?
How do I benefit from things in this world?
How do I help the world?
How do I create a good atmosphere?
How do I use my abilities?
How do I create new things?

Achieve Goals

There are many questions, and we need to know the answers.
Do you hope that our educational institutions provide a good education?
Do they play a good role in improving our abilities?
Do they point us to our goals?
Do they help us achieve our goals?
I have not seen in our institutions that are engaged in such work, because there are no good teachers there, only servants work there, servants think only about their salaries, they were not interested in the life of students. They think that this educational institution does not belong to them, and students study at these institutions also not because of their relationship. This means that there are not enough good teachers. Our institutions do not give us education, they teach us only languages.
For example, our native languages are Baluchi and Brahvi. This means that children under the age of 5 are in the process of learning their native language. After 5 years, when they enter the school, the institution begins to teach them a new language called Urdu. They teach them to read and write in Urdu. Now the day has also started in elementary school, the 4th language is called English, and the teachers themselves do not know English, as they teach the students. This is a big burden on the heads of children.
After five years, when the children enter the 5th grade, they are unable to understand Urdu and English, and begin to learn a new language called Arabic. During this period, many students cannot cope with the language load, so 60% of children dropped out of educational institutions, now we have to think about sixth grade students who will have to learn five languages (Baluchi, Brahvi, Urdu, English and Arabic).
And now what you are thinking about is that children are learning languages, getting an education. People think that if a student can speak English, it means that he is educated. This is our big mistake.
After graduating from college, 80% of students dropped out of educational institutions, and 20% of students enrolled in various colleges, after graduating from college, 98% of students dropped out. And 1% or 2% of students can enroll in universities, and then they will try to pass the exam by cheating. They think that if they pass the exam and get a degree, it will mean that they are now educated.

Good education

To get a good education, we need good educational institutions and qualified teachers, and educational institutions should teach children in their native languages.
Just like Napoleon said
“You give me good teachers, and I give you a good future"
Ignacio Estrada said:
"If students can't learn the way you teach, then teach them the way they learn"
In a new study, in order to get a good education,
"Must teach children in their native language"
Because children understand their native language well, and their mother is their first teacher.
Dr. Napoleon Hill said
"Use your abilities to carry a child at a time when you are able to teach him"
A question arises.
Do our institutions teach children in their native language?
I can say no.......
Since institutions teach children only languages,
therefore, children have no goals,
They don't know about their future.
They don't know about their world.
They don't know themselves.

Educational standard

What do you think now, what is the educational standard in our city or in our country?
All our lives we serve to learn only languages, but we don't study them properly, whereas we get an education. To get a good education, we must know our native language well. And we only need one foreign language to communicate with the world.

The End…..
